Witch!
A word that applies,
To both women and men.
Why then,
Does the word arouse visions,
Of women on broomsticks,
Stirring cauldrons,
Filled with henbane and toads,
Or offering homage to devils?
But the idea of a man,
With magical powers,
Conjures up pictures,
Of wizards,
And warlocks,
Like Merlin,
Or Gandalf.
Why this association of ideas?
